The Yes Men

:// biography

The Yes Men are a group of activists who practise what they call "identity correction". They impersonate important people or spokespersons for prominent organizations, accepting invitations they receive on their websites and appearing at conferences and on TV programmes. They then use their recently-acquired authority to express the idea that corporations and government organizations often act in dehumanizing ways towards the general public. Their preferred method is satire: impersonating corporate or government spokespersons, they make shocking or degrading comments about workers and consumers.
The Yes Men have masqueraded as spokespersons for organizations such as the World Trade Organization, McDonald's, and Dow Chemical.
