Jon Thomson was born in London, England. Alison Craighead was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. They have been working together in video, sound, and Internet since 1993. A large part of their work to date has explored the way in which technology changes the way we perceive the world around us. Thomson gives classes at the Slade School of Fine Arts in London. Craighead is currently working as Head Researcher at the University of Westminster, as well as teaching Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. They have held exhibitions at the Tate Britain, SFMOMA, the Laboral Art Centre in Gijón (Spain), Zentrum Kunst Media ZKM (Karlsruhe, Germany), the New Museum (New York), Mejanlabs (Stockholm), and the Neuberger Museum of Art in Purchase (New York).
