Alessandro Ludovico

Alessandro Ludovico is a theorist and has been head columnist of the magazine Neural since 1993 (Honourable Mention, PrixArs Electronica, 2004).
He is the author of Virtual Reality Handbook (1992), Internet Underground Guide (1995), and Suoni Futuri Digitali (Future Digital Sounds, 2000). He is one of the founding collaborators of the Nettime community, as well as one of the founding members of the organization Mag.Net (Electronic Cultural Publishers). He is also a consultant on the Documenta 12 Magazine Project, and has taken part in conferences throughout Europe and Canada.
Ludovico gives Computer Art and Interface Aesthetics classes at the Carrara Art Academy. Since 2005 he has collaborated with UBERMORGEN.com and Paolo Cirio, creating the projects Google Will Eat Itself (Honourable Mention, Prix Ars Electronica 2005. Rhizome Commission 2005, nominated for the Prix Transmediale 2006) and Amazon Noir.
