Santiago Echeverry is a Colombian artist specializing in new media, and training in film and television production. Thanks to a Fulbright grant he was able to earn a master's degree in interactive telecommunications at New York University (NYU). He moved to the United States in 2003 to teach at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, and he began teaching digital art and interactive media at the University of Tampa in Florida. He began to show his work internationally in 1992. His interests are in non-linear narration, video art, performance, interactive design, and web experimentation. He is also an active member of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission.
