"Pn=!" belongs to the series "The Disasters" which proposes a critical reflection on the ways the violence or war is portrayed in films and by mass media.
In this piece, an original sequence taken from Carl Theodor Dreyer's film "The Passion of Joan of Arc" has been divided into its several shots and projected in an algorithmic version that endlessly reorders them generating new versions. The deconstruction of the narration, the impossibility of making sense of the events, is here what enables us to see beyond the story and to recover what escapes from the tyranny of the narrative program. It is also what permits us to see the naked images, retracing discourses -such as those constructed by the traumatic memory-and to devise new narratives and new possible meanings.
